Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to apply?

We are a very exclusive group and are not open to the general public. This is also typical of traditional Japanese schools. We want to make sure that this is the right place for you and your goals.

What's the phone consultation?

This is a 10-15 min conversation with the instructor. This is your opportunity to ask questions about the training. It is also an opportunity for the instructor to assess your goals.

I have an injury, can I still try class?

Absolutely. If you have any preexisting injuries or physical limitations, this will be accomodated in your class.

Can I watch a class?

No. Only family members and guests invited by students are allowed to watch class. It’s a distraction for both the instructor and the students. You may choose to watch portions of the class when you schedule to try a class.

What do I bring to class?

Everything will be provided for your class. Just wear workout clothes for the lesson.

What's the Trial?

After your first class if you’d like to continue, we offer a 30 day trial membership. You simply purchase a uniform and you can continue for 30 days. After that, your trial rolls into a regular membership.

How much are memberships?

You should budget up to $200/mo for training. Memberships are all inclusive – all equipment and supplies are included. Discounts are offered for families.
